I have a question about ovulation?

I usually have a 28-29 day cycle so I was expecting to ovulate this weekend like last month. Two days ago I was having the ov pains, then nothing since then and got a negative on an ov test yesterday evening, so I'm thinking I ovulated early this time on day 10 or have yet too. We did do the bd on that night so that's good! Can you have a cycle that long and ov on day 10?
