How did The Simpsons inspire a minor league baseball team?

That's too funny! They could be called that because of the fact that they make allot of nuclear weapons in New Mexico but I would think that it's more likely that they took it from the Simpsons. The SImpsons is about the biggest show internationally over the last 20 years. It really doesn't surprise me that they would do such a thing however it is ironic.
