When you really like a girl, and she says she doesnt want a boyfriend, what do you do??

basically my friend told her i liked her and want to "hook up" but i really said she was so nice and refined and extremly beautiful.anyway she got dumped by this guy she was nuts about in the end of augaust.so now idk if its me or if she just doesnt want a boyfriend?if she doesnt want one how do i get her to like me and want me to be her bf?
