How could God be perfect?

God clearly made a mive mistake with his creation of Lucifer, who is a perfect being, that was tainted by evil. Clearly the being was not perfect since it was tainted by evil and turned evil. He was susceptible to turning evil. For some reason that doesn't scream perfection to me.
