How do i get get the browser version without the little spaceship?

I now have vista home basic but before i had microsoft xp version operating sytem and had the browser/explorer that had the blue and white striped globe with the red yahoo "y" next to it i was told that is the most current version of explorer/browser and that the spaceship one is the older one
